The Kızılay Maden Suları, dating back to the 8th century BC, have flowed throughout history for healing and beneficence. The Kızılay Maden Suları, formerly known as "Karahisar Suyu", became famous and widespread during the reign of Abdulhamid II. Karahisar Suyu was transferred to the concession of Şişli Etfal Hospital to generate funds for the financing of the hospital.
Our Great Leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatūrk fell ill in Afyonkarahisar during the War of Independence and recovered by drinking mineral water brought from Gazlı Lake. He ensured the establishment of a factory in this location and he donated this factory to Kızılay in 1926.
In a competition held in London in 1932, the mineral content and quality of Kızılay’s mineral water was honored with the "gold medal".
Serving with its only factory in Afyonkarahisar until 2014, Kızılay Maden Suları identified another source by considering the high magnesium content in Erzincan during this year and established another factory. Thus, the goal of delivering mineral waters with the most valuable minerals to people was taken one step further.
Adopting the name "Kızılay Beverage" as of 2019, the institution has added Unflavored Mineral Water, Naturally Flavored Mineral Water, Fruity Mineral Water, Lemonade and Soda from Mineral Water to its product range. With a production capacity of 160,000 bottles/ hour in the Afyonkarahisar facility and 50,000 bottles/ hour in the Erzincan facility, Kızılay Beverage serves Turkey and many countries around the world.
Being one of the first modern factories of the Republic of Turkey and one of the biggest bottling facilities of our country with its production capacity, facilities of Kızılay Beverage have been working non-stop since 1926 for the promotion of mineral waters in Turkey and around the world; and donating all of its revenue to Kızılay for "more benevolence".
